GHK-Cu is the copper(II) complex of the tripeptide glycyl-L-histidyl-L-lysine, a sequence first isolated from human plasma. In dermal and wound-model research it is studied for copper transport, extracellular-matrix remodeling and gene-expression effects, and it is the most cited copper-binding peptide in the literature.

Research monograph
KLOW is a multi-peptide research blend that combines GHK-Cu (a copper-binding tripeptide), BPC-157 (a 15-amino-acid cytoprotective pentadecapeptide), TB-500 (the active fragment of thymosin beta-4) and KPV (the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-MSH) in a single lyophilized vial.
GHK-Cu binds copper(II) with high affinity and has been reported in dermal fibroblast cultures to modulate collagen and glycosaminoglycan gene expression. BPC-157 is associated in rodent models with angiogenic signaling through VEGFR2 and with nitric-oxide pathway modulation.
TB-500 sequesters G-actin through its actin-binding domain and has been studied in cell-migration models. KPV, the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val, has been reported to attenuate NF-κB-driven inflammatory signaling in epithelial cell culture. Studied together, the four components allow researchers to examine interactions across matrix remodeling and inflammatory readouts.
KLOW ships as a lyophilized powder in a sealed, tamper-evident vial. Store the unopened vial between −20°C and −80°C, protected from light, until the day of use. In this state the peptide is stable through the labeled expiration date printed on the lot documentation.
Every PX1 Research lot of each KLOW component is manufactured in the United States and released against a documented specification of ≥99% purity by reversed-phase HPLC, with identity confirmed on the same lot by high-resolution LC-MS against the theoretical mass of the sequence.
The KLOW blend supplied by PX1 Research is intended strictly for in-vitro laboratory and research applications. It is not a drug, food, cosmetic, or medical device, and it is not for human or veterinary use, diagnosis, treatment, or consumption.
Researchers are responsible for handling the compound in accordance with their institution's safety procedures and all applicable local regulations. Safety data sheets and current lot documentation are available on this site.
KLOW is a four-component research blend of KPV, L-glutathione, GHK-Cu (the copper-binding tripeptide) and BPC-157 supplied together in a single lyophilized vial, with TB-500 appearing in some blend configurations. Each component has an independent published literature, and the blend exists because tissue-repair models frequently require several described mechanisms at once rather than because the components act as a single pharmacological unit.
GHK-Cu is described in the literature as a copper-carrier tripeptide associated with extracellular matrix remodeling and fibroblast signaling. BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-mer studied for angiogenic and nitric-oxide-pathway signaling. KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-MSH and appears in inflammatory-signaling models. Glutathione is the principal intracellular thiol antioxidant and is included as a redox-buffering component rather than a signaling one.
Because the components differ in molecular weight, solubility and stability, a blend is not analytically equivalent to four separate vials. It is the appropriate test article when the research question concerns the combination; separate vials are the appropriate test article when the question concerns attribution of an effect to one component.
A blend certificate must resolve every component, which is why PX1 reports KLOW against a chromatographic method with a gradient shallow enough to separate the copper-complexed tripeptide from the 15-mer and the small tripeptide. A single peak-area purity figure for a blend is not meaningful on its own; the certificate reports identity and purity per component along with the mass ratio in the vial.
Identity for each component is confirmed by LC-MS against its theoretical mass. GHK-Cu requires particular attention because the copper complex and the uncomplexed tripeptide differ in mass and in chromatographic retention, and a lot in which the copper has dissociated is a different test article even though the peptide sequence is unchanged.
Endotoxin by kinetic chromogenic LAL, residual solvents by gas chromatography and water content by Karl Fischer are reported for the finished blend rather than inferred from component data, because blending and re-lyophilization are themselves process steps that can introduce contamination.
Is KLOW a single peptide? No. It is a defined multi-component blend supplied in one vial. Publications and internal records should state the blend and the per-component mass, not a single peptide name, so that the test article can be reproduced.
How does KLOW differ from GLOW? Both are repair-model blends built around GHK-Cu, BPC-157 and TB-500; KLOW adds KPV and glutathione. GLOW is the narrower three-component formulation. Which is appropriate depends on whether the model requires an inflammatory-signaling and redox component in addition to the matrix and angiogenic ones.
Can the components be dosed from separate vials instead? Yes, and for attribution studies that is preferable. The blend is a convenience and consistency format: one lot, one certificate, one fixed ratio across every aliquot, which removes ratio variability as a source of between-run difference.
What is the most common quality failure in a blend? Ratio drift caused by incomplete dissolution or by a certificate that reports only aggregate purity. Requesting the per-component chromatogram for the actual lot is the check that catches both.
A blend certificate answers a harder question than a single-compound certificate: it must establish the purity of each component and the ratio between them. The KLOW lot certificate therefore reports reversed-phase HPLC purity for BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu and KPV individually, plus a compositional check confirming the 50 / 10 / 10 / 10 mg split of the 80 mg fill. A single blended purity number would hide a shortfall in any one component.
The four molecules are chromatographically distinct enough to be resolved on one gradient — a 15-residue pentadecapeptide, a 7-residue TB-4 fragment, a copper-complexed tripeptide and a tripeptide amide — but GHK-Cu requires care because the copper complex behaves differently from free GHK on a reversed-phase column. Identity for each component is confirmed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry against its theoretical mass, with the copper adduct reported explicitly.
Endotoxin by kinetic chromogenic LAL, residual solvent screening and Karl Fischer water content are run on the finished blend rather than on the components before mixing, because the blended cake is what ships. Every figure is lot-matched to the batch number printed on the vial and published on the certifications page.
Each component sits on a different axis of repair research. BPC-157, at 50 mg the dominant component, appears in the literature in angiogenesis and cytoprotection models. TB-500, the active fragment region of Thymosin Beta-4, is an actin-sequestering peptide studied in cell-migration work. GHK-Cu is a copper-binding tripeptide long studied in collagen synthesis and extracellular-matrix remodelling. KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide of α-MSH, studied as an anti-inflammatory signalling fragment.
The trade-off is that a blend cannot be re-ratioed. Studies that need to vary one component independently use the standalone vials — KLOW is the fixed-ratio arm, and BPC-157, TB-500, GHK-Cu and KPV singles are the variable arms.
Wolverine is a 10 mg two-component blend of BPC-157 and TB-500 in a 5 / 5 split — the repair core of KLOW without the matrix and inflammatory arms. GLOW pairs GHK-Cu with smaller amounts of BPC-157 and TB-500 and is oriented toward skin and connective-tissue remodelling research. KLOW is the widest of the three, carrying all four compounds at 80 mg total.
What exactly is in an 80 mg KLOW vial? BPC-157 50 mg, TB-500 10 mg, GHK-Cu 10 mg and KPV 10 mg, lyophilized together as one cake.
Is a component-level COA available? Yes — the KLOW certificate reports HPLC purity and LC-MS identity for each of the four components plus the compositional ratio, lot-matched to the vial.
Is KLOW supplied for human use? No. It is supplied strictly for research use. It is not for human or veterinary use and no dosing guidance is provided.
All products are sold strictly for laboratory and research use only. Not for human or veterinary use, diagnosis, treatment or consumption. Statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.
