Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide and Insomnia
In a placebo-controlled, double-blind trial, injections of DSIP (at 30 nmol/kg of body weight) led to a 22.5% rise in sleep duration compared to initial measurements. Efficiency of sleep improved by 26.8%, while sleep latency and post-onset awakenings dropped by 53% and 45%, respectively. [R]
