  1. 1. Wipe both stoppers with alcohol. Draw 2 mL of bacteriostatic water.
  2. 2. Inject the water slowly down the inside wall of the 10 mg vial — never directly onto the powder cake.
  3. 3. Swirl gently until fully dissolved. Do not shake.
  4. 4. Concentration is 5 mg/mL. For a 250 mcg dose draw to 5 units.
  5. 5. Store reconstituted vial at 2–8 °C, protected from light. Approx. 40 doses per vial.

How do I calculate insulin syringe units for a peptide dose?
Concentration (mg/mL) = vial strength (mg) ÷ bacteriostatic water (mL). Draw volume (mL) = dose (mg) ÷ concentration. On a U-100 syringe, units = draw volume × 100.
How much bacteriostatic water should I add to a 10 mg vial?
2 mL is the most common choice for a 10 mg vial, giving 5 mg/mL. More water makes small doses easier to measure accurately without changing the total peptide in the vial.
How long is a reconstituted research peptide stable?
Reconstituted with bacteriostatic water and stored at 2-8 °C away from light, most research peptides are handled within about 3-4 weeks. Sealed lyophilized vials are far more stable.
