What actually separates a serious supplier from a reseller is boring and verifiable: purity documentation, testing depth, manufacturing location, cold-chain handling, and how they respond when something goes wrong.

1. Third-party purity and identity testing

Every batch should ship with an HPLC purity report and a mass-spectrometry (LC-MS or MALDI-TOF) identity confirmation. HPLC ≥99% is the industry benchmark for research-grade material. Lower numbers aren't disqualifying, but the vendor should tell you the number instead of hiding it.
