Transporting Research Materials: Practical Notes
Sealed lyophilized vials
Ambient-stable and tolerant of transit temperature swings. Keep the original labeled packaging and the lot documentation together.
Reconstituted vials
Require 2–8 °C and are not suitable for extended transport. Prepare on site instead.
Documentation
Keep the COA with the material. Chain-of-custody documentation is what distinguishes a research shipment from an undocumented one.
How PX1 documents every lot
Every PX1 lot ships with HPLC purity, LC-MS identity, residual solvent, moisture (Karl Fischer), sterility and endotoxin data. Lot documentation is published at /purity-reports, /endotoxin-reports and /coa. Synthesis, purification, lyophilization and vial fill happen in U.S. facilities — see /manufacturing-process.
