What ISO/IEC 17025 Is
ISO/IEC 17025 is the international standard for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. When a lab is accredited to this standard, an independent body has assessed that it produces technically valid, reproducible results — not just that it owns the right instruments. For peptide testing, this is the difference between a number on a page and a number you can defend.
Accreditation vs. Certification
These terms are often confused. Certification typically attests that a quality-management system exists. Accreditation under 17025 goes further: it evaluates the actual technical competence of the lab to perform specific tests — its methods, equipment calibration, personnel training, and measurement uncertainty.
